Since 1997, this popular Canadian duo has been pleasing
crowds across Western Canada and the United States with
their extensive repertoire of Country and Classic Rock Music.
JC and Andy recorded their debut album, “Room to Dance”
in 1999 under the recording Artist name, “Country
in the City” After touring and performing for several
years on the road they have become extremely popular for
their Classic Rock renditions as well, and Country in the
City has naturally evolved into Room to Dance.
JC and Andy have been shattering people’s
preconceptions of what a “duo” sounds like.
As the first and only duo on several of their clients rosters,
they have always been invited back to perform on a regular
basis. This uncommon duo has become well known and respected
for their sound quality, appearance, and professionalism
as well as their musical talents.
Their Musical talent is only a part of the charm that has
drawn the attention of audience members and turned them
into life long fans. Room to Dance has proven their prowess,
not only at entertaining crowds of all sizes, but also at
creating a lasting connection with them. This is evident
from their fan club list, which has grown rapidly since
the commencement of their “Room to Dance” tour.
Always eager to take their music to new place
and new audiences, the duo was thrilled to take the opportunity
to perform on Carnival Cruise Lines’ Funship “MS
Jubilee” for two weeks, cruising to Alaska! Soon after,
they were invited back to perform on the “Paradise”,
cruising the Eastern and Western Caribbean for six months!
Since then they have returned to “the road”,
touring Western Canada and venturing further into the United
States. They have relocated to Calgary, Alberta and are
becoming known in the Calgary Business community. They are
members of the American Federation of Musicians and the
Vancouver Musician’s Association and are new members
of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce.
Influenced by Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood
and Wynonna, J.C.’s powerful voice has been stopping
audiences in their tracks everywhere she sings. More recently,
crowds have enjoyed her renditions of songs by Sheryl Crow
and Gloria Gaynor. Andy’s influences lean more toward
“Triumph” guitarist and vocalist, Rik Emmett
and country crooner Vince Gill, JC and Andy’s audiences
are always pleased by the variety of songs they perform,
and appreciate Andy’s skilful guitar and their tight
vocal harmonies.
